Dr. Christensen is an Associate Professor of Chinese. He received his B.A. from Brigham Young University in Chinese with a minor in International Relations in 1988. He received his M.A. in 1990 and Ph.D. in 1994, both from Ohio State University in the field of Chinese linguistics. He spends time each summer lecturing in a teacher training program for teachers of East Asian languages at the Ohio State University. His research interests include Chinese language pedagogy, materials development, discourse analysis, and Chinese poetry. Dr. Christensen is also the Chinese Flagship Program Curriculum Director.
