Recent Publications:

 

We welcome Marc Yamada as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese Literature. He received a BA in Japanese (1997) and an MA in Comparative Literature (2000) from Brigham Young University and a PhD in Japanese Literature (2006) from the University of California, Berkeley. His dissertation, “The Politics of Japanese Postmodern Fiction,” examines the work of three contemporary Japanese writers: Takahashi Genichirô, Kobayashi Kyôji, and Murakami Haruki.  He has recently arrived in Provo from Berkeley with his wife, Mikilani, and their son, Kyle.
